That’s it. I’m breaking up with being the “betrayal trauma girl.” I don’t know how I became her. I never wanted that to be my full identity but somehow everything in my life got taken over by betrayal trauma. Betrayal from my husband, betrayal within family, and betrayal from myself. It’s a huge part of my story, it’s a big source of my pain.

But I can’t continue on with this being the main thing I talk about and help women through and I’ll explain why…

What I realized is that the act of betrayal itself was just the tip of the iceberg. Yes, it is super painful and needs immediate attention. But what I found in further exploration within my experience is that there are deeper things beneath the act of betrayal, that are actually the root cause of the betrayals, and those things were never mine to have to carry, fix, sort through, heal, etc.
